@ paull - this would be a decent and safe character to start your journey into the world of hardcore. There is not an area in the game that this character cannot handle. The key for this character is to make it to act 2 normal alive. once there, hire a tank and off you go killing things. So if you feel confident on making it to act 2 normal, this character should be fine. Once you have decoy and valk, you will have 3 targets other than yourself for the monsters to focus on while you sling arrows around.

This is the same process for the skill multishot. Now I would like to take the time to discuss Strafe vs. Multishot. With multishot, it is only the middle 2 arrows that carry the procs (chance to cast [ctc], mana leech [ml], life leech [ll], ect.). The rest of the arrows only carry the damage on them. Using multishot, you must make sure that the middle 2 arrows hit a non physical immune (pi) monster in order to leech life and mana. The speed of multishot is too slow, and can cause mistakes due to aiming the shots. The closer to your character you click, the wider the disbursement of arrows. The farther away from your character you click, the tighter the grouping of arrows. With strafe, all of your arrows carry your procs. There is no aiming involved. All you have to do is click anywhere on the screen and you will be auto-aimed to hit the nearest monsters. Even if you do not see any monsters on the screen, you can click and the strafe skill will seek out any monsters in range and fire arrows at them. The ability to kill monsters without aiming is absolutely invaluable. This is why most people choose to play a Frozen Orb sorceress. Without aiming, all you have to do is be sure to click your mouse every once in a while. So, for a ranged skill, choose strafe for the no aim, all arrows carrying your procs, and speed.
?????????????
sorry but mutishot does like 10x more dmg than strafe against groups
However only the middle 2 arrows carry your procs and leeches. As long as the middle 2 arrows hit a non physical immune monster, go ahead and use multi. its a waste but you can use it. Just dont max it. I think its sLvL 24 that will get you the most arrows without wasting more skill points.

the only time i'd prefer strafe is with a low budged bowazon build (wws or WF based without fort etc)
Hmm....... Kinda seems like the point of the guide here dont it? The guide is the answer to the question,"I just started playing this game and I need to acquire all the "godly" gears as quickly and easily as possible and I dont want to spend a dime." So thanks for re-enforcing the guide's point!

the autoaim of strafe is actually the most annoying thing in the world. While strafing, you are a sitting duck, waiting to be pwned, plus to make strafe really useful you need to have monster packed in front of you. if you have them around you, the strafe takes painstaikingly long to complete
Obviously you have not played a strafer with a valk, decoy, and a mele merc. I can count the times i have been "pwned" while being in "strafe lock" on one hand. Um.. that would be a big fat doughnut. Your second statement sounds like it was meant for multi as opposed to strafe. Monster's location has absolutly no effect on the time it takes to complete a strafe cycle. IF you are firing at a 10/3 strafe with 10 arrows, it does not matter where the monsters are because the strafe cycle is going to take 34 frames, or about a second and a half to complete.

and BTW, in chaos runs you can just use a pure bowazon and have a weapon with lifetap charges for diablo works really well
Sure, run a vendor for a wand with lifetap charges on it to kill diablo. OR just wear laying of hands and viola an extra 350% OFF WEAPON ED! Imagine wearing 2 fortitude armors at once! As long as you have around 10% LL and you are shooting a WF, you wont need life tap with a LoH gloves.

etc etc not really inthe mood for making more comments...
Why not? so far you have not really helped anyone here with any insightful logic or arguements. I would just basically ignore your post but it bothers me to have people post incorrect information in a place where new players can read it and get the wrong idea.

i've been playing bowzons since 2000 and havea lvl 97 bowazon on lad atm...
Good for you, you want a cookie?
And I still say that you aint legit as the HRs you trade for are almost for certainly duped runes. I mean hell, you trade here on jsp for crying out loud. I wouldnt trust a HR i got from anyone here as far as I could throw the digital object. My strafer that you see in the images in the guide is almost completely legit yet I dont claim to be legit as the damn Lo rune in my fortitude was traded for and it probably is a dupe. But by your standards, she is a legit character. Todo lo que.
