I'm not all about making rules vs every single type of matchup. Es sorcs have advantage and disadvantages and so do vita, sure I can completely make a set of rules thinking of every matchup and put it into play but anyone joining now can't even read the rules. Legen can vouch that as well. I think it's quite even as far as rules sets. My light sorc at 3500 life dies in 6 blasts. Which is very fair as it is lower then fireballs. Even with a slower travel rate than fireball pre ib and spam will win a tank fight.

Skill also plays a factor. So there are a lot of variables in making the rules.

Short story short we don't feel we need class specific rules to make certain matchups more fair. Each class has both advantages and disadvantages and it fine that way.

No one plays cold sorcs since they don't really have patients to learn how to use it and play.

I agree that most people don't/can't read the rules in the first place, but I think you should re-think the cold specific rule set. There are already rules set in place for them for a reason, and clearly they are in a bad place which is why no one plays them on the ladder.

Why not make a cold sorc yourself and try and climb the ladder. If you can make it to the top and still think the rules are fair, then there is no debate. But if you find that it is as broken as it seems, maybe then you would consider revising.

i did before under the older set of rules, so has gemmd. gemmd made it to #1 and defended under the old set which were more unfair than the current (back in 2010, and i did lose to him numerous occasions).

there is no competition on the svs ladder, so me using stories sorc for instance would entail an easy climb to #1 with reletive ease. im not going to change any rules as they are fair and have been for a while. Just because a cold sorc wont beat an es sorc 7/10 times again pending skill levels of both users doesnt require a change.

most people, i would say 9/10 build around a blizzard skill build, which doesnt work and its been proven time and time again. This build here negates 450 cold resist, which is the highest limit allowed to stack with.

im not a good test dumby for a cold sorc because i unlike most know how to use them. Stories makes it pretty far up with no issues, same with muse, gemmd, ect. other people just dont want to duel on ladders, or are afk, or dont play anymore.
