Step 1: type /ignorepersist and make sure it says "enabled".

Step 2: type /filtermsg *InsertWordHere* .
(each word you add, is permenently added to a filter, which from then on will block the entire line of text from apearing on screen ingame, if anyone uses a word that is designated filtered)

Step 3: type /unfiltermsg *InsertWordHere* to remove a word from your filter list.

OR alternativly you can edit the .txt doc like so,

In your d2 directory, there is a file labeled "ignorelist" This file can be opened with notepad++
and once u open it you will see a list of words you designated to be filtered. All you need to do is delete unwanted words from the list and save/exit.

If anyone cannot figure this out, pm me and ill meet you ingame to further explain how the ingame filter system works.

I'm on east and I have " .com " ignored, yet somehow the D2PAPA ads still come through even though they contain ".com"... anyone else experience this or know a solution?

Try using /filtermsg d2papa (remember the filter is not case sensitive)

I had the same issue, I just kept adding new filters, using words that bot used, till it stopped appearing.

Also you can squelch names and accounts the same way, which can stop that spam for a short while, till the owner makes a new spambot.
