Ahahaha! The appeal of a summon nec is the fact that it can be done with no gear at all, and here you are suggesting stuff like Enigma right off the go. There's no point in a Summon nec when you got [insert gear]-level stuff, there are better options.

Anything with high damage that your merc can use. I used a Cryptic Axe, but CV, GT, etc. Doesn't really matter.
Treachery is the best merc armor.
Guilliume's Face is really good. I use Andis because I want him to have life leech without having to use tap.



No reason to flame. I'm obviously suggesting what I think is the best set up.

Do you not build your characters to the best of your ability?
Do you make Hammer Paladins and max fist of heavens?
Do your bow amazons use +1 jav skill gcs?

My point was that the greatest appeal of a summon necromancer is obviously in their independence of gear. They're known to be able to solo the game with at least NPC-bought items only. So here I am, questioning why the heck would anyone in their right mind go and take away that appeal by suggesting a bunch of super-costly items, especially when there are much better PvM characters for the same cost?

Also, isn't it rather contradictory that you first say to have no cold damage on your mercenary and then in the same paragraph suggest a freaking Doom?

Also, you should add something about Attract, it's one of the useful curses.

Honestly, if you're going to make a guide, at least make sure that it serves a purpose. This guide serves no purpose whatsoever. Seriously, suggesting using Exiles, Prides and DOOMS for an Iron Golem? AFTER YOU ALREADY SAID THAT COLD DAMAGE IS BAD, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU SO KEEN TO FUCK IT ALL UP WITH DOOM YOU MORON!?

good guide overall. idk wat that olba guy is talking about. i use clay golem with insight merc personally cuz i had a bad habit of "accidently" making iron golems out of random shit on the ground. also i used eth up'd zod'd homunculus. i guess mostly for style but a spirit would be good as well.

If a nakey summoner can do the game, imagine how powerful it is with full gear? Dumbass.

A good guide has to cover all aspects, in all directions to make sure it is thorough. This consequently is a good guide. I actually find it hard to believe that you're bashing on this guide when some others' are as coherent as an Islamic-Christian.

Also, fyi, cold damage isn't that bad, only if it kills the emeny, will it shatter it, thus not leaving a corpse. So a little isn't going to harm anyone.
