This guide is quite nice, and don't make ridiculous posts like "Yeah dude but with botd and coh i kick major ass", because it's not comparable, ik build costs roughly around mal, and you're talking about several high runes. Moreover, if there wasn't the billions od duped hrs, none of you would be so smart.
And, sometimes, it's good to try a basic build. A person who plays an ik barb and can manage hell, will for sure find everything piece of cake with better equip. Those of you who have all chars with equip worth 10 hrs, won't be able to kill normal diablo with ik barb. Remember if it wasnt for ebay and all those trade sites none of you would have 150 hrs to make your "pwnage" char builts. Hrs got in circulation cause people were paying money for those, so the ones who make a living out of diablo items worked enough on duping them.
So, congratulations on describing a basic, easy to make build that can be quite enjoyable. My notes on this:
Instead of the cathan , everyone hits a ring with some decent AR and ll on their way. 1xx AR and 5-6 ll is ok, even if one plays only 1 char we find one of those sooner or later, and nonetheless they're not expensive.
IK barb has a few problems, main being AR. a cheap Seraph would help some, considering the kind of monsters in throne. Then, some extra damage by filling the sockets on helm and maul with whatever ed jewels one can get. A metalgrid would be ideal, but they're quite hard to get. Angelic gives very good AR, and actually with angelic and some , even low, ed jewels this barb makes enough dmg and leeches enough to be fine and pleasant in baalruns.
About beating throne solo in 1 person game, the char doesn't have a real problem, except of course for iron maiden, which is every ww barb's worse nightmare. Apart from that, with decent AR (remember, leech problems usually come from AR, if you hit enough then you leech enough), this barb should be able to take throne solo, in 1 person game at least.
