~@~ Gris Set LIGHT Avenger ~@~

I got bored, so I decided to do the usual, and post an old build that I used in 1.10.
You will probably have alot of questions, maybe just call me a noob or whatever,
my suggestion, just say what you want, it is about discussing things anyway.

Let us get started, first of all, I wanted a Noob looking character in pub games.
Help team with conviction aura and also be able to kill, on occassions Pub kill FCzons
and the occassional noob trapper and light sorcs.

Attributes (Stats):
Strength: NONE
Dexterity: Enough for equipment after other items or you can opt for max block.
Vitality: Rest
Energy: NONE

Skills:
20 Vengeance
20 Conviction
20 Light Resistance
20 Holy Shield
1 Salvation
1 Pre Requisites

Note: After all quests you should be finished at lvl81 for skills. NOW the extra points from there
is entirely up to you as in what to do.

Why I chose to Max out Light Resistance Synergy
In PvM, Lightning is a very strong element, if not the strongest. Also lightning immune is one of the easiest resistances to remove with Conviction.

Pre Note: Using Cadaceus weapon you will need to reach 109%ias to get last bp.
40% on Gris wpn
75% from 5x 15%ias jewels
115% ias Total with this setup.

Items:
Gris Helm:
- Cham = Cannot Be Frozen
- 40ed/15ias jewel = self explanatory
Gris Armor:
- 40ed/15ias jewel = self explanatory
- 40ed/15ias jewel = self explanatory
- 40ed/15ias jewel = self explanatory
Gris Weapon: Automatic 40%ias
- Ber - Crushing Blow
- Ber - Crushing Blow
- Ber - Crushing Blow
- Zod = Indestructible = But you can choose any other option
Gris Shield
- Minus 15 req jewel with any mods
- 40ed/15ias jewel = self explanatory
- Light Facet = You can choose anything
Boots:
- Sandstorm Treks
Ammy:
- Mara's/Seraphs/Angelics
- +2 Pally tele charge ammy for those that like to tele.
Ring1:
- Rare mana leech/15+ str
Ring2
- Bk/Soj/Angelics
Belt:
- Tgods = 20str is what you are after or anything to your choosing
Gloves:
- Draculs Grasp No other.

Switch:
Cta
Spirit

Inventory:
Besides the standard Torch/Anni, the rest is up to you, with this build you can use more mf charms, dmg/ar/life Anything.
Also with the Medium Armor and Shield, you will notice your run walk speed to be slow, so you may want some frw sc's with
mods to help you out.

Mercenary:
I did not add this in before, this is also dependent on what you want to acheive.
Basically just listing a few ideas, of course there are the cheaper options.
ACT1 Cold Arrow You can optimise your IAS
Faith
Ebug Fort
Eth Andy's Visage Ral'd

ACT2 Might Merc You can increase your damage
Pride (more damage, reduces interruptions)
Ebug Fort
Eth Andy's Visage Ral'd

ACT2 Might Merc You can increase your damage
Destruction (Elemental damage, just look cool)
Ebug Fort
Eth Andy's Visage Ral'd

ACT2 Might Merc You can increase your damage
Phoenix (why not, just fun and keeps merc alive)
Ebug Fort
Eth Andy's Visage Ral'd

Complete Set Bonus
+3 To Paladin Skill Levels
+30% Faster Hit Recovery
+200 To Attack Rating
+20 To Strength
+30 To Dexterity
+150 To Life
All Resistances +50
Display Aura

View Arreat on Item Bonuses:

End Note:
Yes there are better setups, there are better items, there are a ton of cookies out, but this is just for the Hell of it, and if you are in pub game and kill while people calling you a noob, on the inside you can just laugh at them.

rofl.gif You mean to say I do not take criticism?
How can you criticise something when I stated from the begining that there are better items/builds?

I just think you like to be a know-it-all, you read the basics that you want to argue about, and only relate your BS to that.
But all in all, you have your say, whether or not it has been pointed out, you would make a good politician, state the obvious, do not think others opinions are better.

Oh well, nice to get a free bump.

to write a guide yxou have to include it all....
from low to high end and that is it

if you say from the beginning, that there are better setups.. why do you even bother to post a "guide" that does not include them?

If there are different guides using same equipment, why should I include them?
I do not have to include everything, just ideas to let people think outside the norm.
I like this build, because it is different, fun, entertaining, it works, and works well.
If people can not get some of the runes/jewels to test out, they can think for themselves.
I do not want to think or tell people that you should use this as it is the best, because there
are always better setups to different people because of their way of gaming and individual
thought, just like you, you have the biggest amount of input based on your thinking.

So, by saying that there are better setups (which there is, because Gris Set is based as a NOOB look)
it gives the reader the chance to look around, or if they are curious, they can make it and try it out.

lol it is not the gris set that is imho wrong but basiccally how you fill it and what your ideas are about the build

you don`t make the best out of the single parts and that is more or less it

Umm, what you perceive to be good to include in the sockets, does not mean everyone has to follow suit.
Your opinion based on your ideas is your perogative, if what I choose works for ME, how can you argue that?

I fill the requirements for the build to make it work, you on the other hand rely on calculations before making it.
Thing is, even the geniuse's in the world argue about other calculations.
like:
you have not taken this into account?
oh really, but, if i do what you suggest, then you leave this unprotected.

In the end they do not agree, but, both ideas work, but for different reasons.

Anyway, as you stated, you do not use CB, at least with my ber'ing the weapon 3x's, I kill faster.
Please argue that I do not.

I already have a full gris avenger, that took down a dclone without any cb at all....

and made lvl 92

which is imho enough

and since cb is based on monsterlife and only takes away the amount of life it would on players 1 and is affected by physical resistance, your cb does not mean anything because I deal more elemental damage than you gain with cb...

and if i really need cb, I can simply use a cb weapon like black in the 2nd slot and smite

Got a screenshot of your Gris Paladin doing what you say it does?
Using black does not make it a Gris Pally

Oh well, thank you for the free bump
