Bladesin can really slap in D2R. Trap assa that uses Blade Sentinel, Blade Fury, and a bit of Death Sentry for AoE.

Recently got one to 99 on hardcore, so it's pretty safe. Clears TZs well with good gear, and requires an active/engaged playstyle. Probably my fav D2R build so far!

20 in all 3 blade skills
20 in claw mastery if you use a claw
20 in fade

The actual dmg on your weapon is close to irrelevant.
You get dmg from +skills, deadly strike, and off-weapon ed%

On budget, fleshripper + Lo is really great
Else the ideal claw is:
GT or RT (-30 WSM for faster trap laying speed)
fools / 2sin / 2os Lo+Lo / 10+ ias to reach 9fpa trap laying speed with the 40ias on standard gear

Gear:
Phoenix Mon (400 off-weapon ed%)
enigma
HL
LoH
Gores
trap skillers
scs with ar and/or res

Helm and rings are flexible
you want +skills, CbF, ed%, fcr defensive stats
so either raven or cham in helm
bk/soj or fcr rare ring
rare circ ideally, or guillaume on budget

You do realize that there is only one(1) character class that can clear the game Hardcore and Softcore excluding Ubers (since people build uber killer classes.).

Blizzard made the game so damn easy for all noobs playing it now, they got rid of Iron Maiden in Act 4 and all melee noobs breeze on through thinking this game is easy to get to 99, well, the game is noob friendly even in D2r.

You want a new character that is challenging, how about creating a character (one class) that can support groups, kill off bosses with ease and survive soloing Hardcore to level 99, also have distributed all skill points to the required accomplishment of support and killing in 8 player groups.

Yup, it is a Barbarian class, Gold, Magic, Kill bosses, support others and can play solo clearing A1 to A5 all difficulty levels and Hardcore.

Build a unique only char. I'm going to try a zealot paladin or barb with only unique items next

Lightning Zealot using 2x Dreams would be good, also... Conviction aura on paladin so you can use either Pride/Might Merc (preferred) or a Faith Rogue. Oh, as for reaching the IAS bps... Grief Phase blade... however, if only using Unique or Set items... you may want a Gris set Lightning Zealot... fun to use while everyone calls you a noob, you laugh in their face.
