Amazonbasin has some of the most detailed and comprehensive documenting of d2 mechanics. You hate it but it has all the answers to your questions?

Dang... I wonder how many of those posts with information gave any recollection to old school players like Faelwyn (Quorra) and many others that also got info from D2jsp players and stripping the game mechanics from the CDs and checking for the "ERROR notifications that went back to Blizzarad" IF playing online... oh btw... off line playing made it possible for identifying errors before Blizzard knew about them online, so some coding to counter it... dang... Maphacks were in abundance, duping made easy since there were no #????????? item drop was recorded before Rust Storm with Hex Charms & Whites etc and the old school Guided Arrow bug with 100% Pierce continued attacks until the monster / player was killed (targeted of course) or the Radius of slvl of Leap Effectiveness, or even Light Radius to see monsters (this one wasn't used that much, other than those that played in the dark).

I don't doubt your links. I just don't click on links that slow down my PC.

BTW.. warcry does not negate curses. Idk why you think it does?

Battle cry does, because it is a curse!

You still haven't proved anything about the stun effect of an Act 5 Merc.

You say that Battle Cry is a Curse and WarCry does not negate curses... how? why? and does it work like the Barb skill Bash (knock back) which isn't a curse, or Leap that has the "knock back" ability, which is also not a curse... they are all barb abilities, and the Act 5 Merc is what? A barb right? or am I totally wrong and we are both wrong because Blizzard fucked up with D2:R BS mechanics and they lost the plot as well.???

War cry is am 99% certain it cancels the amp or decrryptify.... there is a 1% opening here...... it's like, a small oak sage over the head of the boss... i see a curse. But haven't though tried it, it hink, i may have, in my hoarcxing days, but only very briiefly to try it. I htink the amp course got overriden. I know it does with battle scream. But notn eceserly with war scream-o-

Because Battle Cry is a Curse, and Warcry isn't, WarCry is an AoE spell that deals physical damage and can be blocked, but doesn't need attack rating. WarCry also has a "stun" effect, like Shockwave, and the barb skill Stun. I really don't know what you're confused about.

No, Warcry doesn't over ride curses. Go to 2:19 on this vid.

can monsters be stunned and cursed with
decryp at the same time? what would
happen if reapera toll on an a5 stun merc
hit a monster would it not only paralize them
but also deal the 50% physic dmg from
decrp? thanks


To directly answer your question yes an a5 merc can Stun a mosnter without removing decrep

I'm more curious how an a5 merc is using reapers toll though

Does the A5 Merc stun come in only on D2R? Is that new? Or does it go back to LoD 1.13c/1.13d/1.14? I still play a lot of SSF 1.13c PlugY, but I do also play a bit of D2R on PC as well as Switch (moreso Switch now, used to be more PC).

I'm highly fascinated by any stun skills as of the past year or two, I really got into it when I saw the extremely short stun from Druid's twister, sadly it cannot be boosted by any means on 1.13c, but does gain a synergy in D2R i believe increasing the length of the stun which is what I was hoping they would do. Still haven't got around to making a druid on D2R but I would love a longer stun on 1.13c PlugY for twister, even though I know it will never happen.

I am a fan of the war cry barb stun as well. I have a war cry barb I've been testing out lately since I've become quite extensively rich on Singleplayer from farming daily for the past 4 years on PlugY, and having a bit of stuff already stashed from previous years of play here and there.

Very interested to hear about this A5 Merc stun, if anyone has extra info beyond my main question of it being D2R only or original LoD as well? Thanks! Sorry for the TL;DR status.
