Bowa vs Windy

In this matchup the Bowa may not use % DR (so no string of ears) and Life leech is capped at 5% (Multi, Strafe, Impale, Valk and Decoy Banned). Meanwhile the Druid is allowed to Bear and Oak. This is a very hard match for the Bowa. Ideally you will Fury down the pets then use Guided to snipe the Druid before he escapes. You are looking to leech life off the Druid when hit.

4. Items


What Bow to use?

When it comes to Bows, you have multiple choices. i.e. Shadow Bow, Spider Bow, Matri Bow & Blade Bow. Shadow and Spider fire at 8FPA with 105IAS and 125IAS respectively. Matri and Blade fire at 7FPA with 145IAS. You can also use either of the 7FPA bows as 8FPA bows and use funky jewels to get to the 8FPA max damage numbers. I recommend Shadow Bow as it has the highest Max Damage possibility.

What Armor to use?

When it comes to Armors, there are now two choices: (a) Jewelers Dusk Shroud of the Whale (4sox 100life) and (b) Hustle (65frw, 40ias, 10all res, 20FHR, +6 Evade, 50% slower stamina drain and 10 Dexterity). Dusk is best base for Hustle on a Bowa (no FRW penalty, highest def). In order to use Hustle you need to somehow make up for the lost IAS. The best way to do that would be to find a Shadow Bow with 20IAS base. So something like 400ed 2sox 20ias would work. A brief comment on Hustle - With Hustle you do not need any FRW small charms, so you are getting a life boost at the expensive of damage. Hustle is pretty amazing all round.

Helmet

1. Magic 3PSM 30FRW 2sox Circlet (x2 15ias/30ed Jewels) - This is the standard
2. Rare 2PSM 30frw 2sox Circlet (x2 15ias/30ed Jewels) - You are looking for Stats, %damage and/or flat life here.
If you have IAS on your shadow bow you can ditch one of the IAS jewels for a 30ed 18max 9dex jewel. or even a 30ed 9str 9dex 9max jewel.

Armor

1. 4Soc Dusk of the Whale 100 life
2. Hustle (in Dusk Plate)

Weapon

1. Shadow Bow 400% Enhanced Damage with 2 open soc. If you cant find a good 2soc one, a 1sox 420+ed is fine for now.
2. Matri Bow 400% Enhanced Damage with 20ias and 2 open soc. firing at the fastest frame is best vs Trappers and Blizz Sorc's (but expends mana faster).
3. Spider Bow 400% Enhanced Damage with 20ias and 2 open soc. Only use a spider if it is stupidly good 400ed, 20ias + 2soc
4. Blade Bow 400% Enhanced Damage with 20ias and 2 open soc. Only use a blade bow if it is stupidly good 400ed, 20ias + 2soc

Shield

1. Artisans Dragon Shield of Deflecting
2. Artisans Kite Shield of Deflecting
On a Dex build the shield type (Kite/Dragon) does not matter, but for a Vita Build you want a Dragon Shield for the higher Block Chance. x3 30ed 9str 9dex jewels in it. You will need a -req jewel to wear the Dragon shield as it has a higher Str Req.
3. Rare 30/20 2soc erep Grim Shield. I don't recommend this, but I guess some peoiple will be attracted to the rare factor.

Javs

1. Eth Titans is the standard but long term you will want to upgrade to rare Erep javs
2. Erep 350-450%ed+ Matri Javs. The good thing here is it does not need IAS
3. Erep 30ias 350-450%ed+ Stygian Pilums. Something like this can be used on Pala/Barb/Ama. quite useful!

I do not recommend Hyperion's. If you have amazing Hyperion's, build a barb (or paladin).

Amulet

1. Rare 2PSM 50-60life, 80-90mana + adds (Str/Dex/Res/Repl)
2. 3psm/100 Life Amulet

Gloves

1. 3PSM/20ias the absolute starter gloves
1. 2PSM/20ias/9Str/15Dex Gloves + adds (Resistances). 2/20/8/15 should be the minimum starter gloves.

Ring 1

Raven 20 Dex, any AR (We dont use Jab or Multi or AR for anything)

Ring 2

Rare dual stat 15str/15dex/90 mana ring + adds (Repl Life, Resistances). You can also look for a ring with 5Life Leech - useful vs Druids when not using Titans.

Belt

We banned %DR, otherwise string would be the best belt always. As a consequence there are several belts to consider:

1. Mavina Set Belt (20FRW)
2. Rare 24fhr 60 life 15str + Resistances - good when you want that 20FHR
3. Crafted 24fhr 70-80life +OW - also good for that 20FHR

Boots

1. Sanders Boots - In D2LOD you wanted to Str-Bug your boots. As that is no longer a thing, Sanders are now the Best Boots to wear.
2. WaterWalks - In certain match-ups you will not need as much FRW and can consider using Waterwalks (Vs Light Sorc / Pala).

Resistance Gear

Any lack of Resistances should be made up via charms until you have gear that gives you 75 all res. 3frw/11single res and 20life 11single res are worth using over having sub optimal resistance gear. Dont use a Duck 4soc 100 life with x4 15ias/30cold res jewels. Dont be that guy!

Maxroll

There are alot of ways to build a Bowa.
Stat to wear gear, and then go pure vita "Vita Zon" or pure dex "Dex Zon".
You can use 4 different bows: 1. Shadow, 2. Matri, 3 Blade Blow, 4. Spider Bow.
You can go 8fpa (all bows, including Matri & Blade - ias to 80%) or 7fpa (Matri / Blade Bow) (145ias needed)

Bowa vs Light

In this matchup you want to try to reduce the angle of attack from your opponent, so try not to be center map. Put your back to a wall, or even a corner if you are struggling here, otherwise just pew pew when the sorc is at distance and be sure to move from his lightning attacks when he is close - they can do savage damage.

Bowa vs Bowa

This match-up can be played in alot of different ways. When there is no time limit you will see some round lasting for 10+ minutes and longer. With a fixed time of 3 minutes per round, the most optimal method is to corner your opponent, use C/T, namelock, rare javs and switching between Javs and Bow for the best results.

Bowa vs Assa

There are two types of game play from the assassin here - off screen aggressive trap laying, and on-screen repeated dragon-flights combined with shadow master, lightning sentry and mind-blast. Either way you want to punish the assassin if it tries to get close, dont sit in more then 2 traps at a time, and running long distances is optimal (to break chain dragonflights). Use C/T when the assassin is either off minimap or edge of minimap in order for your arrows to bypass her meatshield (her shadow). It is not recommended to stand and tank no matter how much life she has, if there are 4+ traps down.
