I deal with blood mana by running away lol
If i get cursed, i either wait for it to wear off or just spam nova with full rejuvs
Honestly youd just have to try coh/gloom yourself and see how you like both
I like gloom better atm because my merc doesnt die either way and dim vision helps

How about a5 merc? As I will have tons mana, so I don't have rely on Insigh, I think? Plague + Lawbringer, or even 2x Plague can deal with Blood Mana?
