If you're moving enough the chance is very low though. Boosting your life merely for the purpose of tanking a hammer isn't really worth it since it's an easy matchup anyway.
Besides, that entails a rather different breed of a bowazon anyway (ability to stack resists, less reliance on desync, etc).
I still use desynch whether I'm telly, psn, vita, glass, r/w, whatever.
It's just the combination of everything, - a little dmg from guided, + a good bit of life can add a substantial amount of time to the zon's survivability in back-to-back duels [I'm thinking pubs and TvT, ZvZ is a world all its own]. The zon's dodges (coupled with max or positive resists and 40+ dr), I've personally found, can kind of be divided into vague 'break points' --- using the word lightly. Assuming your dodges look something like 60-70-60 or close, A normal zon with above attributes can take 1 hit per 400+/- life and survive. [this obviously excludes blizz, enchanted ww, hammers, and the like], but GENERALLY a zon can take a hit per 400 life.
3 hits
landed avg for a 1.2k life zon, 6 hits
landed for a 2.4k, bo to 3.5k life and tank around 9hits
landed. Each time that you increase your life in this scenario you would in theory double the amount of hits you're able to take.
This of course leaves out what's dodged, blocked, and avoided through desynch/telly/whatever.
It's really all preferences. I prefer not to town after each duel, or stress a single hit from an opponent.
