the chest have like a 5% chance to roll rare, locked can spawn with more items makes no difference just about hitting the ID rare is just a variation/locked aswell

As BruceDShark said getting a chest with all rares (5% chance) has no effect on (high) rune drops
You should check every chest

I'm aware of the 5% rare drop chance.

I guess I didn't make the question clear..? Are there current known HR drops with rares?

The all-rare chest is selected independently from the pattern. There's the pattern, which may or may not contain a HR, and then 5% of the time all of the magic items are rare.

Hi all. I play offline, never done battlenet. Therefore running kurast interests me having looked more into rune hunting lately. My kurast knowledge is based on this:

So I have been running players 3, and decided to see if I could find my patterns (having not actually looked into patterns specifically) and couldn't find them, until I found this thread. I have a photo of a players 3 mal, and a Lo. Unfortunately, I am literally running, with a javazon, and doom apes are after me haha, and these photos were taken just for proof to my friends really lol, so no time to fuck about picking everything up, it was a pause, pick up phone, unpause, alt and take photo job haha. The Mal came with stiletto, bone knife and lance (lance was revealed as I picked up the mal). So I can tell you it is a p3 pattern, not p8. The Lo pic is fine as it was just those two items with it. I'm not entirely sure on how to put images here, here is a link to the two images. Can someone plz modify this post and do it properly for me, it's making me feel old, I swear this shit used to work!!

Thanks Nickman for this thread, despite the naysayers. As I say, I couldn't find my patterns until I came here. I'm concerned about how many patterns are misplaced, but looking forward to seeing this come together to form solid trustworthy information. I made my d2jsp account just for this, so you can bank on my contribution.
