No deadly strike and poison damage are separate and poison will not effect you not doing double damage. Physical damage and poison damage are calculated separately.

Please provide proof of your own calculations.

Its common sense poison does not cancel out double damage. That's just a myth. Please don't read bs on the internet about this game.

Then why has it lowered my damage when I tested it?
edit: poison damage does not cancel out double damage, but when there's a poison small charm in your inventory, that's different. Or at least that's what my tests and the tests of others I know have shown.

Please, explain us your test...

Get a weapon with constant damage (ie a grief phase blade)
Stack deadly strike with highlords, guils, gores, ect. That's like 85%.
Swing 5 times and record the dmg of each swing, you will be able to tell which strikes are deadly.
then put a poison charm in your invy, and repeat the test.

There's your answer venom screwed up your poison dmg but had nothing to do with physical damage.

All elemental effects do is cancel out the animation of Deadly Strike, which is what spawned that myth. It doesn't do anything to the damage boost itself.
