By common definition smite and WW are melee.

However they aren't considered GM melee because if they were, leagues would be WW and Smite leagues, the 2 skills are much more powerful then other melee attacks.

Fireclaws does slight physical damage I believe.

Grief is considered BM in some circles, I believe, because for the price of a Lo and Mal, 99.9999% of other weapons got put to shame.

I'm not too sure on smite because I don't have a pure fury wolf and the techniques for fighting them as a pure fury won't work with a hybrid (rabies can be negated so I'm not counting its use).
