Imo hitting 37 fcr BP feels great, but rarely does it translate into higher efficiency if you actually time it, compared to 20 or even 9 fcr.

If you think about it, there's 11 bodies to hork. You also cast warcry /battlecry/amp, and maybe a couple tele charges. That's what, 20 casts/frames saved at most ? So not even 1s.

But it gets worse.. In reality your merc isn't dpsing faster than you can hork, so even if you drop a frame or two on fcr, you're not actually losing out on that time.

Last year I participated in a gf contest where I capped 10M gold in 13:xx. Only had 9fcr cuz high fcr circ/ammys are expensive lol. So if you can do a setup to hit the next item find BP, it's fine as well. Either way, these are micro optimizations we're talking about. Personally in casual play I do like higher fcr as well, slap on engima and not worry about conserving tele charges.

Yeah, it's more about the fact that you don't get stuck mid-animation on a lot of stuff. Buffing faster, etc. It's what...microseconds of difference? The gain is minimal, but the smoothness of gameplay is insane I found.

So if one is able to attain similiar or lesser time to cap their gold then does that make this guide another way to play gold find barb?

I am curious if there are anyone who is running this type of build? It is best suited for your playstyle/personality it seems and certaintly one of the answers for non-leap builds.

When this guide was released, there was a 1-minute timer on games. Since then, that was lifted, and Find Item was buffed. The times are way shorter now to gold cap.
I have a couple updates in the profile.

Si will check it out.

Do like the beast for merc-killing setup but i don't do that no more since.
Find item buff is quite a QoL hehe. Curious what it can run now

I can copy paste one of my templates for play style.

Herd the members a little bit, gathering at least 4-6 in a bunch about 10-15 yards from the stairwell, then run down. But not too long or too much, just in a quick motion, otherwise it quickly becomes too risky. Run down the stairs, heal up. Run up again, immediately switch and cast amplify damage. Run 3-5 yards from the member pack, which the merc now has engaged, and immediately cast war cry repeatedly. The other members will usually start flocking towards your merc and yourself, and you will stun about 70% of them. War cry stuns the unique members 10% of the time, so they will be a risk factor, and one will just have to read the game, if they have dangerous auras and is overpowered, it is sometimes better to restart the game.

But, when you get the flow of it down, it is the quickest way. They are most often packed together, and with level 20 war cry, the stun lasts for a "stunning" ^^ 5 seconds. So even when the unique members are hit (10% of the time), they are no longer a risk for 5 whole seconds. With most the members stunned, the merc will have a free path to start eliminating them. When they are amp'd, he will kill even the unique members in 3-4 attacks, unless they have stone skin. But amp will also remove physical immune, so it really helps with that too.

It takes some practice, but when you get this routine down, it is very fast, safe and efficient.

Nice guide, however, I would never use "Gavel of Pain" for a Gold &/or MF Barbarian ... however, I have stated that it could be used/useful.

Below are 2 of my old guides, and I do believe you have acknowledged (or been informed of) some of the information to building what you deem to be a great build.

https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=20165122&f=87

https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=4414879&f=87

The first link is a typical Leap Gold find barb and also relies on "Teleport" (basically what your guide is about) ... however, the skill placement and stats differ based on gear... but guess what (will follow this up after the MF Berserker Barb guide)

The second link is my MF Berserker barb build... and of course, different skill set and YET, will state that you don't MAX "Find Item" Skill ... but to keep on track with above paragraph.

"Respec" ... make sure from level 1 to XX level... you keep a hold of your Respec points until you have the gear you want to achieve your final setup.

Teleport + FCR = is important, especially since a Barb has the same FCR breakpoints of a Sorc.
Howl vs War Cry = Personally radius that effects a larger area. (also complements Battle Orders if I remember correctly)
Berserk ... has flaws, but then 1 vs 1 is more dominant and if you teleport, your merc kills with rewards while the barb takes out the incoming horde(s) etc.

Anyway... like your build, won't ever use it, but hey... I am bias.

EDIT: just something I stated in the "Leap Goldfind" Build:

.... ~@~ Skills ~@~ ....
This Section is a little bit harder to just list skills. You have to ask yourself some questions.
#1 Do I want to have more than 50% Find Item Skill after all gear, or, is 50% just enough?
#2 What are my resistences after all gear?, do I need more Natural Res Skill?
#3 Is my Barb going to be a Hard Bo barb?, do I need to up Battle Command Skill.
#4 Do I want to have my "Leap" skill radius over & above the 16.6 yard?
After answering these questions, you can place the amount of points you need in those areas.

Battle Orders: put 20 into this skill
Shout: put 20 into this skill
Find Item: After gear equipped, get to lvl 18 to obtain 50%
Battle Command: BO synergy: 5 seconds duration per point added. (up to you)
Natural Resistences: Add enough points after gear to reach max or stacked res
Iron Skin: I personally only have 1 base point, and may add more if spare.
Increased Speed: Again, I only have 1 base point.
Leap: After gear equipped, get to lvl 17 (16.6 radius).

I really wanted to reply to the post because it started off interesting but I gave up after I saw "just get Echoing Weaps of <insert thing that doesn't exist>"

I'd recommend those items, too. They're great.

I was corrected about those in particular, however I did refer to "Life Tap" charges which do exist. Pity I could not edit my guides at the time.

EDIT: Also, those guides were written around 2006. I noticed I made a statement about "Howl", that comment was mixed in because of the MF Berserker build which kills Sanctuary Seal bosses and horcks them.
