CoA and Shako both has it's merits.

For example, walk smite matches and certain other matches shako easily is better then CoA (+life +1skills = more damage and a extra to your BO)

CoA is much more well rounded. It lets you build your smiter to be more of a SvA type. You can get your DR off CoA and wear a variety of shields (spirit/exile/res shields) while maintaining DR.
If you need to teleport you get your DR and can run spirit etc..

Neither helmet is better then the other 100% of the time.

40+ work just fine. 20/5s obviously aren't bad but pcomb lifers are a better option

This is kinda confusing, the guide I was following said shako for sva.
Is there ANY theories behind those statements or is it just random opinions?

nah, it's based on my own experience, I play EUSCNL, with an exil / bb / coa build.

Coa ber + 15@res / -15 req permit me to get max dr, with cool res, cool fhr, while i got exil.

Shako jah + bt jah + bb + exil in smite vs smite


/e : If you use zaka (stupid in a way, lt+nice def is required in ffa and vs some good players) then you can shako ofc. Zaka ber / shako ber / dungo 15 / eni makes 49 dr at all. It's totally ok but, u got then pretty low res (if 9sk pc), pretty bad fhr, no lt ^^

Okey thanks for clearing that up for me, buying a coa with ber and 15/15 jool then

it depend your stuff, the must is to have max res + max dr
