nice read, but some of your gear are questionable, especially the griffon dry.gif

well if you've got a good argument, go for it. i've debated griffs a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT though, I believe the first epic struggle with trae8 was over a year ago now. Read the notes section about it.

im actually getting bored by those people who just read through the gear quickly and keep spamming shit without reading/understanding. i mean, flaming is nice but those who only read the word 'griffons' and then click the reply button without knowing anything and not intending to actually flame go on my balls.

griffon's is great for 1on1s basically since you can always balance your frw/fhr/fcr/IAS against specific opponents if you want to and since you will be playing WS against a good bunch of duelers, the role of your CC helmet becomes even less important.
since griffons is so cheap, you can socket ber, jah, lo, vex, cham or anything else you might find useful. this is especially nice for TVTs where you have to be flexible with your socketing options.
also, i find valk more useful compared to griffon's in tvts. this is because you face different chartypes at once and you cant specialize as much as in 1on1 situations. however, you need different socketings which are dependant on the exact opponent team constellation. since valk08 is so expensive on the closed realms (~15k - 20k fg on europe for a perm), griffon's becomes a very viable option (i go as far to say it becomes better than valk) on closed realms unless you want to unsock/resock your valk every time you duel or unless you can afford 3 perm ones for adequate socketings.
if i had those 3 valks i would use them for tvts definitly while it still depends in 1on1s.
have i forgotten anything?

hmm, well i think you summed it up pretty well, like i say this build is for 1v1 first, and tvt second, so even if valk is better for tvt (i've have to do some thinking to figure it out, and it's too late for that) i'd still use griffs. if people want to keep a valk around for tvt that's great, the higher fhr bp prolly comes in handy as does ias stack. still though, i think that they're just so close, that even if valk is a bit bettter for tvts i'd still go griffs and put the extra money into better rings/amus/etc.

but yeah 100% vouch it's annoying to keep getting the same damn comment every time.

frw is nice for WSGing, but not really significant
IAS stack is nice since you will have to use fade in tvt unlike in 1v1s, where you always can outstack all kind of slow with BoS
fhr helps you either getting the next cap or gives you some good base life
and the 1 skill of griffon's becomes a bit less important as you dont have to BO on your own in tvts

but there are still the socketing options.

for example a LO rune will help much in tvts where the opponent team involves a trapper as well.
jah/PR can generally increase your life when you feel that you dont need anything else.
i also like ber rune against teams with lots of physical damage and without a trapper in their team. people will argue with AMP etc but it's harder than it seems to keep a faded character amp'd constantly, so the DR actually helps.

FRW and IAS stack are hard to value because they both depend heavily on your opponent team so they might help a lot or might be completely wasted.
soo, if you play on the closed realms i would definitly go for the griffon's route because valk just isn't worth the FGs it costs on my realm and it isnt even that great if you only got one of them. this might differ on other realms, i dont know the prices there.
thats my opinion as far as valk vs griffons is concerned and no matter what, on a trapper griffons is never a bad choice. we got 4 of them lying on our trapper and invested more into jewelry instead, and i bet that our trapper beats 95% of all valk trappers stat wise. and yes, i know that its still kinda subjective. however i can prove it with numbers if needed smile.gif
