I am confused... Help me with this:

A ) 1-hand Eth Death Berserker axe with Paladin Phoenix shield: (Do not forget that on 1-handed Death, 385% ed is the very maximum %ed, by comparison to 400% on 2-handed weapon)

Min: 24*1.5*(1+3.85+4.65) = 342
Max: 71*1.5*(1+3.85+4.65) = 1011
Average: 676.5

B ) 2-hand Eth Death Glorious axe with no shield:

Min: 60*1.5*(1+4.00) = 450
Max: 124*1.5*(1+4.00) = 930
Average: 690


So... min damage is lower with A ) but max damage is higher than with B), but that's without taking into consideration the fact that A ) allows you to block melee players, arrows from bowazons, gives you way much defense, and you get more life due to +life on Phoenix... I must admit that average damage on the 2-handed weapon in B ) is a little higher after %ed calculation, and the difference between the two is probably a little bigger when Fanat and Charge % bonus to damage come in. This issue for A) could be fixed by using Eth Death Ettin Axe. I won't make the calculations today, considering I have made enough in my whole post.


I agree on the rest of the build, except for the skills, because if you use A), then you need to put some points into Holy Shield
I suggest not investing a total (including +skills) of 20 into Holy Shield, or else you will lose a great amount of damage for a little amount of defense and almost no block %. If you think you will lose too much damage, go for lvl ~16 HS.


Before any further consideration on HS skill points, take a look at this:
At level 90, a Paladin with a Sacred Targe Phoenix needs ...

160 dex for max block with lvl 14 HS (+33% Block on shield)
158 dex for max block with lvl 16 HS (+34% Block on shield)
157 dex for max block with lvl 20 HS (+35% Block on shield)
155 dex for max block with lvl 23 HS (+36% Block on shield)
154 dex for max block with lvl 27 HS (+37% Block on shield)
152 dex for max block with lvl 36 HS (+38% Block on shield)

I will eventually try this build, but in my opinion, 1-hand is better. If I'm wrong, please tell me

You added the phoenix ed onto the weapon damage. The ed from phoenix is added to the ed charge adds, and then that is used to calculate the final damage. It isn't added to the weapon directly and then multiplied by the ed from charge.

I'm sort of confused about the stats for the strength. With no points into strength, I get 110 strength. I have to put on strength charms to wear edeath decap. So basically I need to put in 64 points into strength to wear edeath decap along with coa? But wouldn't that cause me to lose some life?
