Yeah it doesn't work against a hammerdin that played more than 2 duels in his life, they will charge around you and always be bottom, or they will tele under you.

Isn't it better to use 3shape/100life over highlord?
The 20ias doesn't apply when shaped? Is it only because of the DS? :)

I tested some damage difference with highlords and it is CRAZY.

Deadly strike is far more important than a tiny bit of extra life.

Hammer is one of the easiest duels. Just run southwest and use the shift key to swipe at the air. They will always either charge at you and die or teleport on top of you and die.

Smite is much harder. You'll want to swap to a berber CoA and a highlords. Also suggest gores. You'll need the deadly strike far more than the extra run speed.

Run south, hit the shift key for a single fury animation (you'll be knocked back but you can tell if you hit him or make him block), then run south and hit shift again when you're about two or three character lengths away. Don't run exactly south all the time, slightly southwest or southeast work pretty well, too. It's really all about learning how to use the shift key instead of targeting their name.

What if the hammerdin teleports south, southwest or southeast of you?

A hammerdin should never lose against a melee char, least of all a fury druid. The oak sage would be dead in no time and if you keep recasting you're gonna die of stray hammers or get straight up stomped.

Then you back up slightly north and hit shift once then run again. Got a hammer on east nl?

I quit long ago. I used to play Europe anyway. Though that explains a little. People play hdins like crap in US realms which is why they might seem easy.

And that really won't work. The hdin's got max block, good def, teleport and a ranged attack. He can avoid getting hit very easily and surround you with hammers if need be.
