Nice guid. im gona make a sorc just after this. so it seems to be i need to have 146 str without items.. and with items ( war traveller + 10 str ) ? 156 str which is enough for spirit monarch..

good guide. it's what i'm looking for, cuz i need to build one of these. i'm not a caster person, i just use them to fund my melee lol.


as for the merc thing, for low mana, having a cheap insight merc is good. you'll eventually find an eth skullders as well, make that his armor. up it if you're on a ladder.

IMO use chancies and wizzy, and when u gett o boss throw on a ali baba from your inventory. its what i do and it takes no time to do hoenstly. also then you hit the 105 fcr bp and have plenty of mana. no need for a merc either.

EDIT: this sorc has little survivabillity in common MF areas. all it can do are his suggested spots. no pits, no shenk, no eld. rather than finish bolt/mastery, tank a lightning skill. blizz has enough dmg to kill things in hell without them max'd. it needs an infinity merc to do other bosses, or it needs lightning or TS maxd, with a point in LM

Having a Merc that can kill anything > putting points into lightning.

Come into boss area, static, tele out and let a few monsters follow. Merc has no problem. Rinse and repeat. Should have zero issues. I do Pits & Shenk daily with no probs.
