you could also use mara's instead of mf barb skills ammy to help in the resistance area. And/or wear infernostrides or a dwarf star to help out.
Using 2x Dstars will keep you hydra immune in the Travinacle, regardless of fire resistance, for some odd reason--but it has worked like that for the last few seasons; same with using 1x Dstar and Tal's armor the last time I checked. Only real concern is cold/fire/lite enchanted (but hydra would likely trigger fade by then); or perhaps a really bad pack of those caster guys.
