3 steps for spam free diablo 2. Fight the spam.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Step 1
: type /ignorepersist and make sure it says "enabled".
Step 2
: type /filtermsg *InsertWordHere* .
(each word you add, is permenently added to a filter, which from then on will block the entire line of text from apearing on screen ingame, if anyone uses a word that is designated filtered)
Step 3
: type /unfiltermsg *InsertWordHere* to remove a word from your filter list.
OR alternativly you can edit the .txt doc like so,
In your d2 directory, there is a file labeled "ignorelist" This file can be opened with notepad++
and once u open it you will see a list of words you designated to be filtered. All you need to do is delete unwanted words from the list and save/exit.
I would like to add to this, that if you use a persons account name or character name as the filter word, they will be permanently squelched.
If anyone cannot figure this out, pm me and ill meet you ingame to further explain how the ingame filter system works.

Kayling I have your list on here, one you provided to me, it got me banned, more then once, and I had discussions with several mods about it, and in the end, your paste bin was not approved, at least not when I was using it, and i DID try to get it approved, multiple times.
(look at the OP, I even credited you for your paste bin.)It was a long time ago, but I remember this much. I crushed you, and in the crush I was talking about the Diablo parental control features and how they work and can be used to block spam, and you mentioned you had a paste bin with a strong filter list, that i could use in my fight against spam, I got a 10% warn and a week ban for posting it.
I even pointed out that some of the paste bins i used at the time were previously approved and part of some stickies on the JSP forums.
The mods I dealt with did not care, i got about a week ban total, and was strictly told not to post any paste bins other then what is in the sticky, and that it would not be updated.
