I know it's not Ironman what we are doing, but I'll nevertheless post it here since people seem to like such stuff:

We (a team of 4 people so far) are looking for 4 more people to complete the game on EU HC L.
By completing we mean:

- All WPs
- All Quests
- Visiting and CLEARING all areas the game offers without leaving a monster alive :-)
- All unique/superunique Bosses, including the 5 Act Bosses, Nihlathak, etc as well as Uber Izual, Duriel and Lilith and the Hellfire Quest (UT)

There will be no restrictions in terms of Skill choice and stat point distribution... there is only 1 more rule:

- No Equipment

This has been done before (naked HC UT) and we're looking forward to doing it once more.

We'll pick out the more interesting players and have some tactics discussions etc before we actually start :-)

My friend, this is indeed Ironman. Whatever you may have heard regarding lvl 9 duels is false. I've been around Diablo 2 long enough to know at least that, for a fact.
True, my guide needs several additions / changes, especially regarding the exp leveling (no more than 1 visit per instance), however this is what the author had meant when he thought of it.

There's a german team who did what you suggested, a long time ago, and have vids to confirm the Hellfire Quest.

That's exactly what I am referring to.
I know the team - or at least some people in it - by name and have them in my FL/Messenger/etc...
I did the same thing myself with a new group in SC since we didn't have the time to restart all-over when someone died (which the old group had to do like twice or so).

This time we'll try HC though.

Yes, they are german team whose goal was hellfire quest (the ubers). Without offensive spells they couldn't have done it.
Our style is Melee Only.
