Ya you're right. Even if you have them frozen, they will still WW at the same speed. They may run slower, but who cares. Freeze has no effect on WW characters.

Highlords isn't a bad choice, it's just not as good as mara's that's all. I'm sure it's in the guide though. Deadly strike can be useful like you said. Hidden damage. It is always better to use Mara's for the skill point you save, and the big resists that it gives.

The 2 best choices for a WW sin are: Mara's for caster duels to max your resists, and angelic for melee duels to increase your AR. I think both are fairly obvious. Without max resists, your going to get raped by casters. And if you can't get your AR to at least 15K, your going to have trouble vs melee characters.

Highlords would only be used vs melee characters with low defense, or low defense characters that deal magic damage where resists don't matter anyway. Bone necro's might be a good time to pull out the highlords. Their defense is very low, but you won't need resists from mara's either, so its a perfect ammy for them. Aside from that, possibly low lvl hammerdins that haven't boosted their holy shield yet.

Overall though, highlords just isn't as good as other options.
