It depends where you duel. Exile is bm on west but gm on East for zeal vs zeal on lod. You still can’t use exile vs fury, jab, or conc though. If you’re on d2r it’s gm in zeal vs zeal in any of those ladders but also have to go nt vs other classes. For non tap duels it depends what class you’re dueling but vs conc or zeal nt go ss/fort/eprud so something like

Vis
Fort sa/eprud sa if lod
Edc/ebotdz
Angelics
Ias gloves/Rends
Upd gores
Verdungos
Ss

You could also go shaft with alma

For vs fury or jab go high dmg and ds don’t worry about ar since they have no def so the standard setup is

Ebotdz
Guili
Ss
Fort sa/eprud sa
Rends
Upd gores
Highlords
Raven
Melee ring

You can definitely go shaft/alma for non tap that’s a really good non tap setup as well especially if you have a good vis. I wouldn’t go coa/shaft though. I’ve tried shaft/coa with hsarus belt/boots for the ar boost of hsarus but then you lose benefits of gores so it’s not the best. What were you thinking of using with coa/shaft though?

Ah gotcha. For hoz I only ever really use that for bo. Even glitched hoz did worse than alma in duels. The fun part is trying out different gear and seeing what setups work well though so try stuff out and feel free to theorycraft here. Sometimes unusual setups work out well.

A long time ago before I even posted this guide I would still give zeal suggestions on here and I would get pms from people saying was a noob for suggesting Shako as a zeal helm since it wasn’t a commonly used helm at the time. I even received fg saying to “buy some clue” :lol:

People tweak builds all the time.

There is no just get this set of gear. Lots of changes need to happen to be competitive. I don't follow zealot leaderboard too much.

But if you watch the wins and losses of the few top wolves, you'll see it goes back and forth and they make plenty of changes.
