Hi would you say the shaftstop build is better than the leviathan, templars, also I'm planning on not using an exile, so should I use an eth hoz instead? My weapon Im also using is currently an edc. Which build would be best vs barbs or other zealers without an exile. Sorry for these question's im trying to get a pvp zealer going. Also another question I cant seem to find anywhere, is fortitude sacred armor better than fortitude archon plate for zealers? thank you.

It's a lot more fun with exile imo

But to your question, I agree with what rato said. In d2r my usual non tap setups aren't really an option atm due to item availability. That said a good balanced setup to start out with for non tap would be:

+2 Pally vis - cham / shako - cham (depends on budget here but shako is a viable alternative especially for non tap where the defense will be lower overall)
Fort SA
Ebotdz/edc
Angelics
Upd gores
Verdungos
Steelrends/ias gloves
Ss - jewel - ed/ar/stats depends on what you need

dmg/ar/life scs, torch, anni

Vs fury and jab zons swap angelics for highlords/ravens since you don't need the ar, use ebotdz/rends and helm to guili.

Nice!, I happened to have everything u guys mentioned, I guess I'll try it out and give it a whirl. I also do have a 2o coa that i could put jewels in for the lack of ias for my edc.

What would your exile version look like? Also is templars or leviathan any good vs this set up you just mentioned. thank you.

Which base weapon only needs 20 ias or 40 ias on top of the weapons 40 ias?

What % chance to hit do y’all aim for, 25% or less?

Example: prudence sa and diadem (46k def)

23k ar for 25% chance per 5 swings or 1 zeal or 1 hit per zeal.

I’ve had extremely good success with a coa and like 17k ar using just a edc, so chance to hit seems adjustable. That is with of course -33 def at half effect so minus 16.5% def.

The damage to ar ratio seems to be adjustable but I’m not sure at what point diminishing returns take effect.
