What do you think about gm zeal vs zeal ar?
Exile is bm in euscnl so defences are 30-40k. I might be wrong but lower def means melee attacks hit you easier -> less ar needed to hit you.

Do you still need 22k + ar for that or is less enought?

Even in non tap i'm usually around 22-26k ar. That's just because the setups I use tend to utilize a visionary so it's pretty easy to hit more than 20k ar. Higher ar vs lower def just means you'll have a higher hit % than you otherwise would vs a high def opponent so it's still beneficial to have a relatively high ar. Non tap duels are also very short so having a high hit % is important to get some hits in right away.

yea even in nontap you want 25k ar min or pretty close. some NT builds have pretty high def 45-48k with prud/erep visos

Yes sir shaft really took over in .11 and has only gotten better since then due to crazy visionaries coming into existence.

Shako, maybe another 1? Guillaume Face? A Cheap Visio?

I agree with chased. The top setup imo would require a godlike fools ( 2 soc, near perf ed, self rep, 40 ias) zerk. Then an insane pally vis and melee ring.



Ah europe must have changed their rules since exile used to be gm there in zeal vs zeal. Not sure why all the newer melees hate tap.

Edc (get a 279 edc for 50 fg or similar stat for cheap)
Cham ss (very cheap and best option anyway)
Eprud is the way to go here. You could also go fort.

You can definitely make a competitive zealot on a budget. My current zealot was a budget zealot (sold my main gear in .11 but regeared him for cheap somehwat soon after)




As the orange mushroom said melee has a large community (largest community in gm pvp currently) and gets new people to melee all the time. I still receive pms and people still post questions here so there's no reason to not keep this bumped.
