idk what you guys are talking about, but what if a smiter has a phoenix shield, that ed multiplies with the damage in the shield, and then gets added to all other ed, like Fort ? is this correct?
If so I'm thinking about a ....ah, you guys'll see

but the cast on strike will interrupt your smite and the average dmg is much lower than all other smite shields. You can get up to 465 ed, but it�s useless, if every 2-3 hits you are interrupted.

@Diblo, i've yet to meet a good phoenix smiter. While in theory it adds a fair amount of damage, I feel it lacks too much else to be worth it, let alone beat out hoz, exile, or even spirit. It's the same idea some people have of using Fort instead of Enigma.... yes it has nice ed mods but doesn't quite cut it.
