Without prebuff, your resists are not high enough to support a low% es. Also your life/mana ratio would be off. You wouldn't tank as much as you think you would...

you don't get it, you can still hit 9x % es without prebuff

Show me this build, hitting 90% with ES without prebuff, while maintaining your current damage output. Not happening. Stating enough points into ES for 90% = massive damage loss, either by low cold mastery or low actual damage.
