Well, to be fair, most of the current rare weapons that do beat EDC (fools) / ebotdz (non-fools cruels) only do so by a very narrow margin. Therefore, determining what beats out an EDC or ebotdz gets tricky and requires some fine-tuned math, which is part of the reason why Ink made that spreadsheet calculator. That can actually tell you pretty precisely whether, on paper, a rare weapon can beat either EDC or ebotdz. It should be determined on a case-by-case basis with the major factors being at least 290+ base ED, whether it has additional flat damage mods (min / max), base IAS to hit a particular breakpoint, and the weapon base type. This is why there's different information for each of the bases in the main guide -- it's pretty hard to provide general info on what can beat ebotdz/edc, but much easier if you had a specific weapon in mind or in possession, plug in the numbers, and compare. For wolf druids, it's more likely that certain daggers could beat out an ebotd/edc because we can use daggers without the speed bugging out (unlike zealers) and you benefit from the strength/dexterity points.

Based on my own observations, it looks like it's been easier to find fools weapons that beat EDC than to find non-fools cruel weapons (aka 400+ ED) that beat Ebotdz. Ebotdz, especially when used at 23 frame, is just a beast of a cruel weap and it is indeed hard to beat it. I agree with your statement that anything under 50k probably wouldn't cut it at this point of D2R melee, ruling out the scenario where you could snipe an amazing weapon at an unbelievably cheap price. On the other hand, I know of several erep fools weapons that clearly beat EDC on paper and in practice already. Some on NL, some on ladder, but they do exist.

What're you trying to use it for? If you were trying to seriously do gm melee duels (where eth fools weaps are normally used), this would do basically nothing due to very low ED. You need 290+ ED on fools phase blades to do much and even then it's pretty rough because it's just such a low average damage base. But at least with 290+ ED you'll win some duels and have fun with it. For general pub duels / pvm, Grief would definitely perform better.

Since this topic is about wolf, i know its mainly for GM melee, but i thought this info could be added here:

Rabies in D2R sucks. But it depends on how you use it and how enemy play.
- If you or the enemy leave ur minimap range rabies stops working. Visuals may still display such as green character and rabies aura, but no damage will be given before u bite him again.
- If you unshape due to 1 lifed or teleport or whatever rabies instant stop deadling damage. Visuals still display but the skill has ended its effects.
- There may be others as well, but theese are the ones i have experienced and confirmed 100%. It's unconsistent as fuck. Reminds me of MW2/Warzone2^^

I’ve heard the same thing. Many rabies players from LoD were sorely disappointed by this.
