but I have to say:

This is my first zealer ever, i went balls out on him and imo hes got some of the best gear possible (including alt setups) and...

at this level of investment, I can only believe zealers must be one of the worst pub duelers.

theres just no wheres near enough res to deal with ANY elemental damager, anyoen that teles will pretty much fuck you, smiters 2-3 shot you.

Though I must say I haven't lost a zeal vs zeal duel yet

will probably dick with him for another week or so and sell him off, pretty dissapointed, decided to try builds ive never done before d3 comes out and this was my first pick, not very impressed =/

I never suggested using any of these setups in pub duels. However, zealots do fine in pubs if you gear them correctly. They aren't a top tier pub char obviously but can perform well enough in pubs.

ya, like i said, no argument with your guide, great info here for a zealot, just was horribly dissapointed by how a zealot actually performs in pubs.

you have multiple gear choices for your guide, which would you recommend for generic pubing? I'm doing a modified visionary build (as i have fools + visionary items for him) but I cant seem to find a nice balance that yields good res and maintanes decent damage?

None of the builds work in pubs tbh lol. They all have negative res. I had a zealot made for pubs but it pretty much just used a smiter setup, ie grief/spirit/hoz and telezealed/telesmited. Works really well if you're good with namelocking. Trying to zeal down mb necs and other casters doesn't work out to well so I would just telesmite them. Barbs are always going to be a free kill regardless of what kind they are so that's always nice. Vita casters aren't all that common in pubs but they're virtually free kills since it only takes 1-2 zeal volleys to take them down. Barbs are also free kills and they're pretty common in pubs. Pretty much if a smiter can take down a char type you should be able to take them down as well or at least have a high chance. Just comes down to player skill for the most part.

gm zealots are only ment to duel other gm melee chars, in no way is this ment for pub duels

Yeah I meleed for a while but sold out since it was taking up to much of my time. I'll prob buy a melee when d3 comes out though since stuff should get cheap

Tbh I do not play D2 that much anymore. I get so busy with my every day life. I have to go to work every day in thnte morning. I am trying to get a new job but I have to wait for an opening so I can get interviewed for this new job. For now I am volunteering for this job so I can give the supervisors my attention. So not too much Diablo for me. I also pre-ordered D3 but I might just play on sp for a while since I am a busy person.
