hey dude,

just wanted to say that Im using your hybrid guide and its perfect for what I wanted to make. The gear is much better than the shit I find on USWest NL, but I'll manage. I did have one question tho:

Is it madatory to put both a skill in mindblast and a skill in S.Master?  I can prebuff to get shadow mast, freeing up 2 points , and I have claws with MB freeing up a total of 5 points. .... that is, if they are not 100% needed.

please lmk :)

when you buff shadow master with a claw i believe if you try to bo it will dissapear. as for mindblast, you dont need a point into that if you have it on your claw.

The only thing is that you cant use Maxblock setup if you dont put a hard skill point in it. I know its not extremly necessary, but maxbock setup is great to have in some circumstances imo :)

Vs bowas.. c/c suffices.. the only real time you would need it imo is vs barbs.. the rest should be doable with c/c imo.

it can help but its not needed. i kill barbs fine with 65fcr and c/c setup. just play like a lame trapper till u get them to 40-50% life and then ww at the end of theirs while 5 traps are out hitting them.

Yes this is true. I notice that a lot of people search for a claw with shadow master and mindblast (I think you even recommend mindblast as a possible mod), presumably so they can save skill points. You've already mentioned the downside for relying on your claws for shadow master. The downsides for relying on your claws for mindblast are:

1) you are unable to swap to cta+spirit for 102 fcr mb which might be useful in certain situations
2) your master will have an even less chance of casting mindblast (only hard points into mb effect the cast chance)

not really good arguments

i main thing i would skill mindblast is for flexibility
once you have it on a claw and not skilled, you can't swap your claw

You're essentially repeating my first point.

nobody is using cta+spirit for 102 fcr mb in any situation except casting bc+bo

It was an example to show what the gained flexibility can allow you do. Btw sometimes in team duels it is advantageous to swap to cta when trying to mb lock someone while your team does the killing. It's also nice to be able to have mindblast on swap if you're trying to regen life.
