is range important in zeal duels?

if the 2 ppl walk into each other to begin duel logic tells me range matters but idk

ok so I am confused.. I bin making a bit of my own kind of zealer.. now dmg life defence is awesome however my ar stinks.. I am using high lords 2x raven 20 dex 240+ ar

90% of my inventory is max ar life charms and yet I only get 10k ar.. on those s/s they get 18k+ with ravens high lord

It is although it's not a big concern. Although if the other zealot knows how he could make it so he ranges you which makes you unable to hit him. Although that's considered bm and don't think many people know how to do that these days. Just like fhr can effect zeal duels since fhr takes effect between zeals although as you can see from my guide the shaft setups lack it since it rarely effect duels. So if you have a low range wep in most cases only the first hit as you walk towards each other will hurt you. But even then I wouldn't worry about it to much.

srry i am more of a caster and hybrid user... never really made a pure melee char... thats to plain.
