Yeah exactly. The Damage will be better with the highland, but IMO the all around build would be better with the Legend. Because your definitely gonna need angelics which means you loose the 1 skill and DS from Highlords and you also loose the CNBF from the raven, meaning you'll need another socket, not to mention you could have a nice Melee ring for your second ring. I dunno personally I am legend sword Fan But the Highland is definitely a cute sword and I am sure it would work for some builds, would be nasty with bhades, crowcaw, and eth rep 2os armor.

Overall though I say go with the Legend like I said, you'll gain life, Defense, and versatility.

Well..I don't really need ar. I can use vis helm. If I REALLY need ar. Meh..I could use nice melee ring but It's hard to find them, speciality on ladder.

Ah you sure your gonna hit enough AR with just the vis? Have you tried that yet? I think it might be a bit low. Not sure though, I've never tried it. If it does give a decent amount, and you need more, best way would be dual Ravens, they'll give 5000 AR between the 2 of em

oh wow, Didn't think just the VIS would give that much. Nice sounds like the build might work then. BTW the conc swing doesn't affect AR, just def If your going with A this is what I recommend:

sword A with 40/15
40/15 2/3 VIS
HL
2x ravens
40/15 ss
20 ias gloves
fort

You could also have a bhades build swap too, incase you need to throw on some extra AR:

sword A with 40/15
40/15 uppd Arreat
Angelics
40/15 ss
20 ias gloves
Bhades

A non-botd sword concer should be a little hesistant to use a vis...based on the fact that you lose a lot of stats + defense without arreats. I'd almost recommend stat'ing both setups around arreats and not even use your visionary. Unless it's some ridiculous 5bo/5 shout/base life/2soc etc etc, I think arreats would trump it. But then it goes back to the fact that you don't want a cookie cutter setup :p. I'm just saying that arreats, whether or not it is a common unique helm, is a lot more effective for to concers than the VAST majority of visionaries out there.

Oh I agree, I would almost never use anything other than an arreats. Its just too good. I just put that setup together since Jess really wanted to try something different. Thats exactly what I said earlier about how its dangerous to put a vis with a non botd weapon, since your at a huge loss for stats.

yeah tbh the bhades setup I gave you there might be the best choice for that sword.


yup the bhades setup is definitely one of the most underrated builds. Most people get awed by the high damage fort gives and dont realize that the benefit of that extra socket is huge.

this will work with diff with fort build and bhades.
