Volcano:
Your primary targetted attack. This leads your volc/bear combo which is your bread and butter, and can blocklock/fhr lock your opponents to death. It serves as targetted damage against stationary opponents & interrupting teleporters. It is easily the most versatile spell in all of d2: You can use it like FOH, to rail down a single target, or you can use it like blizzard to haze an AOE, and you can deal both fire *and* physical damage with it, put opponents into *both* fbr & fhr. It is also incredibly hard to aim for newcomers, and clunky, with a moderately long timer delay, meaning you often get 1 shot with it, and then have to pull back if you missed.

Well, I pretty much consider Volcano to be passive. Cast & wait, and that just leaves grizzly.

How well does Volcano actually stun? I've done some testing and it doesn't seem to do any stun, so I'm highly skeptical of clown_irage's blabbering.

clown_irage blows everything out of proportion, so that you dont know whats real and not. but vs sorcs for example I can assure you its very effective, for both fhr and fbr locks. going to the other extreme, its very crap against paladins

I tested versus an Assassin, and got 1 teleport to fail out of like 30.

it stuns bad life chars REALLY well. But once they dont get fhr'd by it then it gets kinda hard

and it does interrupt teles of everyone a bit but not that much

In teams with assasin volcano stun is awesome^^

yeah for teams volc is nice. but for 1 vs 1, you have to consider its also a stationary and timered attack, unlike mindblast. people who can wsg >>> volc

A 1 point volcano is not an issue

What's your damage? Are you using the gear prescribed? Fissure on your pelt?

Verse assassins fissure > volcano due to the fact that you can stack it and it forces them to move (volcano lock) or if they're ww'ing you it's a great defensive spell

e: the stun is aight, good foe aoe damage but it's amazing on casters and bowzons

Well I'm still learning this character and was really shaky at first, but I've already adjusted quite well I'd say (in just 2 days)
Shaman rapes in pubs, it also induces mass rage. Some game highlights:

2 get mass stunned by volcano, grizzly finishes necro off zon just dies


Matador fissure + grizly swing > desynch charger/smiter


Molten Boulder > bvc
