Anyways, not even going into tactics, I could even mathmaticly explain how to kill a barb,lol .

And he's " setup " was clegs, + doom + arach.

How fucking dumb can you be, he also said that v/ts are no problems either, so he's got 75 res ( each foh will deal 250 dmg then ) .
he's got 30 dr or so, meaning each smite will deal ~1200-1600 dmg w/e .

Not to mention using Doom takes away 2xx % increased damage of what a lvl 9 fana aura from Beast gives, and with grief thats loosing HUGE amount of damage. also lack of AR and openwounds, you will however get 20% more Deadly Strike

And so vs v/t he's lost 10 OW + 15% DS from gores to use tri res boots to counter, not only that, he's gonna have to use like 10 x 20/11's to stack convic, = less ar, 30 less max damage ~~ . ( 200-300 screen grief damage, so quite abit . )


And he'll be using Anglics, which means, lack of mana. How do you make nice synch whirls with only 400 mana? Sure you can drink pots, but you'll be needing more than 16, he'd always have a gap - a freehit.

I'm guessing he's got 30k-35k ar, meaning he'll be hitting 25k-35k def pretty much all the time ( 8x%/9x% )

Now, of course there is NO _real_ way to " predict " a duel or " explain " a duel, but since WW hits at 4 FPA and Smite hits at 6 FPA, counting on how long the smite is on top of the barb or how long the barb is on top of the smite both should be getting 2 hits on eachother. Smite can't be blocked, but Whirlwind can, which pretty much means each " jump " or period of time they are ontop of each other the barb hits averagely 0.8 times .

( let's round that up to 1 hit per " jump " . ) and since smite cannot be blocked and hits at 100% of the time, the barb should get 2 hits per "jump" .

However, " synch " whirls, " glitch " whirls whatever you'd call them, do occur.
half the time the smite jumps the barb, he's hitting nothing, while the barb still hits you ( it can be blocked still ) . sometimes you can jump 5 times without any fullbug whirl glitches, sometimes you can jump 4-5 times without getting a single hit, etc .

so lets say averagely you'll get one smite per " jump " .

So then, lets say the barb has 8xxx life, we'll say 8000.
And the smiter has 5xxx life, we'll say 5000.

I don't exactly know how to calculate Grief's damage, but some people say that its AVERAGE damage is 4500 . so lets say it is.

Average damage on Grief is 4500, x 2 by the critical damage and Deadly strike, should be around ~9000. Of course that doesn't happen all the time so lets half the double of 4500 too 2200 which is 6700 damage, average.

Then there's beast, which has around ~ 3k average damage.

~3000 + 6700 = 9700 .

I dunno if you have to half that damage or not, but lets just say we don't -

after 1/6th and 50 dr its icon_pointr.gif 808 damage .

However this could be without 3/20/20's if I'm wrong - but then its double damage so we know that.

808 goes 6 times in 5000, that means 7 hits to frag .

But lets not forget that the Barb has 25% ow inbetween.

Now, the smiter .

Whatever Grief's damage is ..

I know for a _fact_ that it AVERAGELY does 1000 lifepoints _after_ 1/6th AND 50 dr.
Which easily means 8 hits to frag.

SO basicly, since averagely you'll both get one hit on each per " jump " the barb should win 55% of the duels since he tanks one more hit.

But wait, thats totally wrong! Why ?

Because you've got FoH as support, lets say 1 foh before each jump, thats 250 life points down, or you can use Widow for a fastkill, but lets just say it's a V/T .

And not only that, you've got 20% chance to cast _Life tap_ .

Each hit on Tap'd barb is enough life to tank 1 more hit, maybe 2 sometimes .

Oh but, wait... This barb wasn't using bb + coa, nope he had Arach, which means he only had 30 dr. meaning he died in 6 Smites .

And before you think, but he had doom and clegs and bb, so you got slowed and couldn't hit him. Well thats wrong.

Why? Stack ias. 20 ias gloves, 40 ias on Grief _pb_ , bb's 10ias, Highlords AND 15 ias jewl in CoA .

So you'll still have your 6fpa Smite ( I tested this many times, even with 35% slow and lvl 12 Doom, doesn't help you . ) .

And since this Barb isnsists in being bm, you can bloody well slow that bastard too .

So you'll be using HF Flash. Hey what does this mean ? Less Synch whirls, = twice as more hits, hey, so you only need 4 jumps to kill now!

And your life will just refill by getting tapp'd .

So a bm barb is actually easier that a GM barb if the smite wears the right equipment, funny eh ? .

And every good Smiter player..

No, let me refresh that, __ANYGOODPLAYERIND2__ realises it doesn't take a whole fucking essay to explain how easy barbs are most can just write it in less than 10 words.

Smite, Lifetap, Tele smite, hf flash, telesmite icon_pointr.gif dead.
