well on the old rules it clearly said no common dupes like 322 bf 08/09 items

08/09's were allowed always i think,
I mean there is nothing wrong with them, for example storm 1.08 or 1.09,
and in the past, arreat 08 was very popular for AoW as far as I know

just things like Zodbugs or the bugbelt ist forbidden in AoW
imo as long as the Items are not created by real bugs or hacks you can use them.

1.08 items exist not duped, old items from old version of the game.
this game is 14 years old, and is normal and good to use all items from all game versions.
no reason to forbid old items??why?:)

only forbidden items are all Bug'd items, like Zod-bug items, or buged belts, tal armors etc included Hybrid buged items and some Ladder runewords ^^
all duped unperm items are banned ofc..

basicaly a set of rules for a tournament for those who have enough fg to pay to win

i helped a guy to create a barb for 1,5 k fg and it's doing very well^^
people shouldn't stick too much to the stats like AR/dmg/def,
because I recognized myself that lower AR/dmg/def still work really good

and any budget build can work in any duel at any level on battlenet.

but with an eq dependant click and hold style crap shoot it comes down to the best and most expensive gear for best well rounded chars.

it might higher your chances to win, but it's no 100% autowin.

there is still skill required
e.g:
If you simply spam whirlwind in AoW you will loose extemely fast, as you run out of mana .. (mana pots are forbidden)

also I suggest to dodge your opponents WW's and counter in the right moments, when their ww ends.
High FRW builds like Eni can destroy every enemy if played well.
a few tournaments were won by Eni builds

I agree that it doesn't require as much skill as TvT duels or SvS, BvC, but Skill STILL matters.
you can't compare the Private GM BvB we play, with the BM BvB that the Publics play.
