hah yeah that's what they tend to do

200/142 is by far my favorite build. IMO it's one of the best GM duelers there is.

and you're not really missing that much health. Also, you'll level a bit more eventually probably which will help some.

Also, as a side note, just keep working on upgrading your fire lifers until they're as good as you can get em. That will make the most difference.
Right now, say your average is 30 life per GC. If you get all 40s, that will be a total raise of 9 x 10 = 90 health. Then, once you BO, you will have about 160 more health (somewhat of a guess here). That could also be helpful.

if you can't get GSpurs but still want fhr boots, go with treks

(you get almost the same str, lots of vita, just lose some resist)

Fireball vs firebolt, which is better .. or are they the same (dmg is the same somewhat)

Here's what I do:
Set "asdf" hotkeys for ball and bolt.

In most cases, use bolt because it costs less mana.

When dueling someone who has other chars in the party (druids - summons, necro - summons, assassin - shadow, that kinda stuff) then switch to Ball because your splash damage can hit them. Especially vs. Druids, ball is the way to go.


So it depends on who you're dueling against.



If you're in a pub game dueling vs. 7 kids and even just 1 of them merits Ball over Bolt, stick to ball.

in your opinion, between 200/142 vita and 200/86 ES, what is better in pub duels? i'm interested in making an fber and, yes, i am a pubbie

I'd say 200/142 is the better of those 2 choices

Best (if you can afford it) is the 105% ES sorc.

After that, it's 200/142.

also, for the 200/142 build, i'd prefer to switch out the wizzy and use a hoto, and switch out the bk for an fcr ring, probably with str/res/life/etc
you still hit the fcr bp, and the additional res needed from the wizzy can come from the fcr rings/res charms

is that a bad choice?
