Its a matter of opinion. Some people might consider using a mouse to be unfair, and that we should all duel with touchpads. Some people might think their autoaim/reviving is perfectly legitimate
I just happen to regard farcast as a 'bm' exploit, whereas things like projectile invisibility & strength glitching as more benign
Ya see.. that makes no sense to me. Being a player that abused a lot of projectile invisibility and str/frw glitching in my gameplay, I don't see those as benign at all.
And both having spent some time playing around on a cs zon as well as taking down cs zons with my main chars in gm duels, I dont see anything that really makes fc "bm"

Theres no magic rule that says this is GM and this is BM, its purely opinion. And if a zon keeps farcasting me, I'll slap on tgods. If she does it with a hack, I'll put on 2x wisps, too.
But the point is that theres no way to differentiate besides opinion. We can't simply say "Well its an exploit but its in the game, so its ok", since then you get aurastackers and drop barbs, neither of which need hacks.
This is true, it is all opinion, communities agree on rules and what we get are the lists of "gm" rules which vary from realm to realm. Really though there is nothing non-legitimate about throwing on sorb and other things in anything goes type duels. Don't confuse legit bm with the use of cheats however.
My view on it is if it's in the game and is not game breaking, its fine. if its in the game and it's very strong, thats fine. Looking at some other games, usually any and all bugs are allowed in competitive settings except for the very very gamebreaking ones, d2 is much the same. I guess you can say whereever you draw the line is up to opinion, and you wouldn't be wrong in that. drop barbs or aurastacking is gamebreaking, legit fc as far as most classes in d2 are concerned, is not. Non-bug tactics such as viving and juving are more gamebreaking than legit fc. less gamebreaking than many other things (both bug related and non-bug tactics) allowed in gm duels.
But as you said, its really up to opinion. Ive had players tell me they are putting on 2x wisp + tgods cause my mindblast is too bm for them, they can't move, what type of shit is that? Obvious bm. I need to get sorbed for bming.
