Would be better to get flat 30dmg or 15ias/15max since they multiply the +max by 3 historically

Mainhand 15max/15ias, offhand 30 max damage.

on a different note, I realized that the mercs annoying taunt doesn't actually work on superuniques, so yes Gavel is still partially viable, esp for the physical immune spawns.

I even tested with a self wielding brand xbow to proc amp dmg, worked decent enough albeit a bit inconsistent. wish I had dual lacerators on PTR to see if it procs are more consistent with the new pierce in throw mastery.

the 75% dtd would count as regular off weapon ed, so it's not going to be better than the 50% on weapon ed from Ohm.

Looks like boring 2x Grief is still best after all.

I refuse to believe 2x Grief is optimal once you account for a socketable.

30max dmg becomes 90 base physical, and it scales with ED%/DS.

I wonder if the weapons share Deadly Strike somehow with this new Merc setup? So confused.

Yeah it doesn't work all the time. Battle Cry merc must suck hard though.

I rather 1 point berserk than switch to gavel for a single super unique. Berserk is really strong this time around thanks to bo synergy. There is no more than one physical immune spawn. Also, getting rid of a conviction council member with berserk first is an option.

upp'd eth headstriker @ lvl99
137 to 296 dmg

If you add 30 max jewel, its 137 to 326 (231.5 avg). x2 deadly = 463.

Perfect Grief PB is basically 433 avg dmg. But Grief has 20% deadly as well 433 * 1.2 = 520, and also additional 185% bonus to demons. So unless the dps calc is still bugged (doesn't look likely), Grief is still better.

I'll have to mess with it, but it's very possible Gavel is still top tier for clearspeed, even if it's a bit more trouble. I'll def need to test it on live.

The DPS calc being fixed would make it worse than the times you've given. I'll def mess with it. Might be also that a longer range sword (Eth CBlade) is better for swapping targets & chasing, etc.

1 hand bug still persists, headstriker's average damage is doubled = 463, it always does double damage unlike grief = 926. Grief does 433 * 1.35 = 649 damage with guilli on. Main problem with headstriker is ias.

yea im puzzled on that one as well. the 1xnon eth oath conquest sword definitely performed a lot better than I was expecting (relative to grief pb), considering it doesn't have deadly strike, which was what made me originally think the bug was still there.

unfortunately the new frenzy dude can't use 2h swords lol. still not
a real barbarian then. fortunately his frw is pretty insane once frenzied, so he has no problem chasing guys down.
