Obviously I have not gone through the 1k pages on this thread, but for Zealots Stoutwood's guide has always been the one I've looked to. So I have a few questions:
1. Your guide seems to be defense oriented. Why does Defiance come before Sacrifice? Defense has diminishing returns, whereas damage does not. Especially since the variance of damage on the Zealot is so high.
2. In the same line of questioning as defense, why Exile when there are clearly better options for zealots? This is Stoutwood's analysis back in 1.11, not sure if things have changed in 1.13:
Quote
Eth Templar/HoZ/Angelics
22.5k ar
35k def (no prebuff)
Chance to hit Eth templar/Exile = 33%
Eth Templar/Exile/Angelics:
20k ar
45k def (no prebuff)
Chance to hit Eth templar/Hoz = 36%
As you can see there is no real bonus from the defense and defiance of Exile. From experience exile will win if life tap is casted when the exile user still has over 50% life left. Otherwise, other shield user has the advantage of higher damage.
3. Why would you suggest any charms other than 3/20/20s? According to your guide, the Eth Gbane setup trounces the Eth Valor setup in almost every manner. I'm not an expert on charms so I wouldn't know, however.
The setups do seem to be well thought out, as the deficits in some item choices are made up for in others, but they seem inflexible. For instance, without a perf Ber Ber coa or 2 40/15s people may not be able to hit their max dr or IAS framerates. Anyway, if anyone hasn't read Stoutwood's guide, give it a go. This one seems Exile based, which supplements Stoutwood's anti-exile stance on zealots. Of course, on West life tap is considered bm in zeal duels, and things may have changed since 1.11.
