i understand why everyone might be so skeptical of this build, and not expect it to work. i was skeptical too. but how can you know unless you try?

so i did.

ive had a hybrid zon for a while and restatted and equipped to basically follow this guide except for the boots which i don't have laying around, and i dont use the GMB, right now using a diamond bow. i also added some skills not suggested here like decoy and valk, etc. as a person familiar with my hybrid and decent with it, this zon looked wrong, felt wrong, and played wrong, and the worst part was it felt like i was running unbelievably slow. AT FIRST!!! but then after a few minutes of getting used to the lack of javelins, you get the feel of the build, and you really can do well. i'm going to continue to tweak charms and things until i find the right balance for me, but this IS a working build.

it felt weird to stand toe to toe with other chars, not needing to run, and killing them. you will be namelocking guided arrows at people constantly because for many matches, you don't have to run much. for the first time with my zon, smiters came at me, then ran away when they noticed they were the ones about to taste defeat. there is nothing more embarrassing to a smiter than losing to a zon. and no better feeling for a zon than killing a smiter toe to toe only using a bow. and it feels pretty good to let yourself get tele'd onto by a fball sorc and tank all of them with no concern, just pumping her with arrows.

i just geared this char tonight, and already im pleased with the result. im not sure if i'll keep it this way or switch back, but i will say this. if its not too much trouble for you, please TRY IT. then find out if you like it or not. just play it for a couple of hours. you will think you have no chance to win, but you will be pleasantly surprised. you will shock yourself and lots of other people.
