on single player Hell mode, timecode is 60:60 unit mode, I convert result to decimal
1x player game, Act 5 tower:
glitch, 2:13 sec
glitch, 2:13 sec
glitch, 2:13 sec
glitch, 2:23 sec

non glitch, 3:24 sec
non glitch, 3:24 sec
non glitch, 3:23 sec
non glitch, 3:11 sec
non glitch, 3:23 sec
non glitch, 3:22 sec

glitch average time = (2:13 + 2:13 + 2:13 + 2:23) / 4 = (6:39 + 2:23) / 4 = 9:02 / 4, approx = 2.25 sec
non glitch average time = (3:24 + 3:24 + 3:23 + 3:11 + 3:23 + 3:22) / 6 = 20:07 / 6, approx = 3.33 sec

A2 tower, 1x player mode:
glitch, 2:09 sec
glitch, 2:09 sec

non glitch, 2:41 sec
non glitch, 1:56 sec

glitch average time = (2:09 + 2:09) / 2, approx = 2.15 sec
non glitch average time = (2:41 + 1:56) / 2 = 4:37 / 2, approx = 2.30 sec

A5 tower, 8x player mode:
glitch, 11:07 sec
glitch, 10:59 sec
glitch, 11:30 sec

non glitch, 14:32 sec
non glitch, 13:54 sec
non glitch, 13:16 sec
non glitch, 13:16 sec
non glitch, 13:17 sec

glitch average time = (11:07 + 10:59 + 11:30) / 3 = 11.20 sec
non glitch average time = (14:32 + 13:54 + 13:16 + 13:16 + 13:17) / 5 = 14.45 sec

May made some small mistake but u can feel the duration in video,
when using glitch Grief attacking the a5 tower, especially 8x player mode, each punch animation & sound, u can see the tower got responding life loss.
The ratio of Frame (5 vs 4) and the time says it

1x player mode, A5 tower:
(3.33-2.25) / 2.25 = 48%, here glitch is 48% faster than non glitch.

1x player mode, A2 tower:
(2.30-2.15) / 2.15 = 7%, here glitch is 7% faster than non glitch.

8x player mode, A5 tower:
(14.45-11.2) / 11.2 = 29%, here glitch is 29% faster than non glitch.

this reminds me of back when I made single player claws to test AR hitting with fools (there was some weird thing where offhand appears to be influenced by primary fools ar, but not fully, at least that was the case back in 1.11)
my test method was to have the left weapon with fire damage, and the right weapon with light damage, so I could count hits and see which weapon is hitting more frequently.

perhaps do a similar test to make sure both of your weapons are attacking, and would your first attack be with the primary weapon? not sure but might be a way to test which is primary.


although there seems to be a major flaw with testing this in single player, that is that the animations still show fake animations for you online.
so there is a chance that things you test in single player may not be accurate to how the server sees them.

swapcasting still looks like it works on sp (actually not sure if it does, but the animation is there on sp). and swapcasting still gives fake animation online as though it works.
but serverside it got patched, from what I heard in the same patch that might have messed up auto wsm.

when you test "nonglitch" I noticed you are attacking without a secondary weapon.

maybe it would make sense to keep the weapons the same, but manually set grief to gloveside primary to test nonglitch?

I understand what u mean now, yes I should test non glitch build without changing anything, even the glitch pb on the side, just add bit more dex to de-trigger the glitch, that would be more clear for showing.

And I understand ur last post mean, this build no problem on single player, but the server didn't care about faster it might just use default way to calculate?

I'm not sure what the swapcasting u mentioned is, cuz I accidentally found one myself when I start playing game on single player or bnet, it's quite annoying:
non-sorc class (barb here) wear a Enigma, see TP staff, go out of town, switch back, the left is like WW, right side is like Warcry, then hit right mouse key it will do TP and warcry simultaneously and attack,
on a pally sometimes it would be TP + holy shield at the same time.
is this what u guys mean swapcasting?
the one I did I think it's basically pure fake animation (even on single player), not sure what it called

What do u think test in this way:
I log in my other Bnet account on laptop aside PC, I brg them to A5 tower (clean surround monsters first),
this time I will prepare an extra Ravenfrost (20dex) for Off / On the glitch.
test glitch Grief / non glitch Grief, when off the glitch (put Raven on another ring slot), didn't put off glitch PB,
if my char on laptop can see I can destroy the tower faster, then this glitch works for Server test, if same then it maybe only a single player build.

swapcasting was a technique that allowed you to glitch skills so you cast with a different animation
like using barb conc or frenzy skill to cast tele with no fcr
or assassin using trap speed for mindblast
or lightning sorcs using firebolt speed for lightning

It doesnt work anymore
if you do the glitch currently it looks like it still works on your screen, you get the visual bug, and the sound effects sound like you have the skill sped up (like it'll sound like its working)
so serverside it's not working, even though it looks like it works on the client end, both visually and by sound effects.

used to be a cool bug, seems it got "fixed" along with manual fc and auto wsm.

I redid the test on US east, bring my another char in, so Hell mode, 2 players, Act 5 Barricaded Tower (immune to psn & fire), no amulet (like HL's), use War trav, Enigma instead of gore & Fort.
and exactly same setups except the left ring (glitch build I put dual leech, non glitch I put another Raven for 20 more dex to turn off the glitch).

During attack, I look at both screen, and found here's what happened on Bnet others' screen:
    1. even u using glitch speed, they see u attack with main wp itself's speed (for example, 5F Grief)
    2. dmg they see are not matching with the attack speed they see (it looks like the Tower loss life by itself, the rhythm of Tower hit point loss is same as ur screen side attack speed and sound)
    3. so Tower destroyed time is same as ur side
    4. Bnet server will conduct ur glitch dmg except one thing: ur animation.

I will post video later, here's the time:

(11.9-9.73)/11.9 = 18.235%, no glitch is 18.235% slower than glitch
(11.9-9.73)/9.73 = 22.302%, glitch is 22.302% faster than no glitch

I think this is fair enough for 1 frame difference, (5F vs 4F)

I tested Death eCB str glitch in the same way too, I feel the result kinda same.
