Pretty sure that resists are calculated after CA. Actually, I'm positive.
Look at the Battle.net forums. They have all the info.
Wouldn't this make OP's/my opinion right?
Trying to find it on B.net forums...
Assume a Duel Druid vs. Sorc
Druid has 2500 CA absorb and max. Res, while Sorc hits 20.000 FB DMG with one shot.
Which calculation is right?
1. CA before RES
20.000 x 0.17 (PvP) = 3400.
3400 - 2500 (CA absorb) = 900.
900 x 0.25 (75% Res) = 225.
225 DMG taken by the Duid's HP.
2. CA after RES
20.000 x 0.17 = 3400.
3400 x 0.75 = 850.
850 - 2500 = - 1650 (capped at ZERO), so no Damage taken and still 1650 DMG to be taken on CA before it goes down.
1. or 2. ???
ImO it's 1.
