again, you didn't even mention Loh gloves, which are by far the best pvm gloves for all melee / ranged phys damage dealing chars


Using boots to get some str on a melee character... Oh boy.. Even WT's would offer ALOT more than those stupid boots. Wt's, gores and goblins are all WAAAYYY better than ss (or any other boots for that matter)


What the hell? Highlords + raven + leech ring with dmg, ar etc are faaaaaar better than those. Only place I would even consider using those is uber trist.


There's no need for using such charms on a barb. Life charms will give you more life in overall, and those could come with damage (seriously, a barb that needs more than ~3k life to survive shouldn't be playing a barb).

And pride merc... Oh boy.

Sorry, but the guide is horrible. Terrible gear choices and merc blows. I don't even know what to say.... :S

That's pretty bad guide, thebe said why but ofc it's pretty old one.

So I've made the barb according to the first page, but now these later responses have enlightened me.


I have 400 vitality right now, naked with bo I have 4k HP. I assume this is enough life with leech and gear added, so should I through the rest of my stat points into dexterity?

Also, that would help to reach the requirement for the axes with out a dex bonus on my gear.

Also, I've maxed out those skills, but have yet to assign my remaining points. I don't have berzerk, do I absolutely need it? Also, is one enough and I'll put the rest into taunt?


Lastly, what's the final consensus on weapons to use? Beastz/Griefz? LWz/Doomz?

Yes I most agree with this otherwise the guide is perfect.

Last wish and beast, and ur merc use price + it got might aura from the merc himself if you buy him A2 Nightmare.

And @ post above, I think this guide is much better than the one you linked.

He had awsome mf/gf and was able to solo-ut very izi

problems:
beast= crappy damage
lw= crappy damage (and the aura is lower than that of the a2 merc)
pride offers less damage increase than reaper's)

beating your frenzy klillspeedwise is too simple... a dualoath build can easily do that

Very nice guide. Very impressive stats. The gear is far different than my layout though.

I go: Arreats, AP CoH, EBOTDZ, EDEATH, Gores, Dracs, BK ring, Ravenfrost, Highlords. Pure damage is a bit lower because my merc has uses Doom. But I find it to be very survivable and an excellent tank even for ubers.

Next time through I'll have to try out some of the different gear options.
