1. What monsters are you running into with magic resist? I'm running hell chaos and hell baal and haven't had any issue with this

2.what I've learned is the lightning part of FoH is not the damage, rather the magic part from the holy bolt. The hard part of FoH is it's *very* area/monster specific....it only *really* works on certain monsters in certain areas, but it *really* wrecks those monsters and those areas. What I mean is, if you take FoH to cows, you're gonna have a bad time, killing 1 at a time. If you're gonna go to pit, chaos, or baal, you're gonna have a great time because of holy bolt. What I'm getting at is shako > Griff with facet.

When fighting big groups of mobs, throw FoH on them to send out the mass wave of holy bolts. When fighting smaller groups or bosses, spam holy bolt on em

Ya cows aren’t as much fun with FOH lol I just didn’t know how the lightning damage worked with like the Griffons+Facet if that was more of a PvP thing cause if you get a perfect or close with helm+jewel it’s still +1 skills then +20% lightning damage and that seems like a nice boost. Does that +% lightning damage work with the FOH or is that more of a lightning sorc thing

If you're pvping, yeah I'd say Griff with light facet would be good, but if pvm, shako is better I'd say. And less expensive. The light dmg boost works on foh as well as light sorcs - its all lightning damage.

Holy bolt ignores magic resistance / immunity.
