Except for... they barely ever hit - and when they do, they tickle. Hell, by the time I'd be reduced to 50% hp my merc/minions would kill them all.
Huge def, max block, fbr, dmg reduced in case a hit gets through, bone armor/cyclone armor (I think that was the name, i don't play druid)...and with certain builds (I'm not saying it's the case with every build), you have 0 reasons to be between them. Take a necro for example, why would a necro be between them to begin with?

No class is supposed to teleport into the deseis pack, straight in the middle and just press the power button on the PC because things will be fine.
That wouldn't be tanky (although my hammerdin survived such a scenario - it wasn't the power button, just my old internet connection going offline), that would be retarded. But that kind of event is just REALLY unlucky and extremely rare.
Fact is I reached level 99 (HC, ofc) multiple times back in the day, when TZ were not a thing, so that implied fuck knows how many CS runs - MANY (and I had to kill deseis on every one of them, of course, in order to spawn Diablo). So what are we talking about here? Like 1/100,000 chance to die? Yeah, that can happen, but...it's 1/100,000 and I said TANKY, not INVINCIBLE.
