You can already hit max pierce using griffins so you aren't gaining anything. Just losing damage.

Javazons benefit from griffons a lot. For example, cows have 50 light resist, so griffons(-25), infinity(-85), and a -20/20 monarch shield allows you to get their resist all the way down to -80. And you can get them to -95 with tstrokes if you wanted to go further. Much more damage overall and melts on p8 in one throw.
