it works, its just not in many slots the most effective choice as compared to things that scale better, such as Crushing blow. and iirc isn't applied to the added dmg from items like Grief.

ok that makes sense. i was wondering why everyone wasn't using 160/60s with it back before ladder items then. is it going to be significantly more damage than an upped zak?

yes it is more, however zak is often used because of the utility it adds.

smite's dmg pvp and pvm is from CB, so utility lets people survive a lot more to get in more CB hits.

Perpetuating ignorance is typing incorrect information and passing it off as fact.

You could have simply typed, “does ED% affect smite?” And we would have gladly answered your question.
