1) its not trying to be a pvp build

2) physical zeal isnt the best build in full games either. none of it competes for clear speed with sorcs/hammers etc.

3) it is just for fun to do something unusual in a 22 year old game, not to make the best build in the game

4) d2 has no win condition...might surprise you and your angry bb energy but everyone gets to set their own goals for fun in the game.

This sounds really fun, I love auras, and like to make diferrent combination of aura paladins.

I totally agree with you, it's a game with more than two decades and many here play it frequently since the beginning, stopping a few months but always returning.

most here have done almost all the more conventional optimized builds, so doing a few different builds, albeit a little less efficient, can be fun.

what do you think about mixing holy freeze and dual dream? like a god of tempest paladin lol, the fury of cold and lighting, this build has remaining skill points to put in resist light I think.

It will lose cold dmg, but get a level 30 holy shock wih the synergies.

Do you think it would be worse than the pure cold? or similar?

the damage is slightly lower but you get 3 damage types which is nice.

cool, I saw that, I always thought about a build like that, always loved the holy freeze and how pathetic the monster get while in its area. I know the most effective thing would be a high physical dmg weapon like grief so you also have a decent physical dmg and leech.

But what do you think about a perfect azurewrath with a nice jewel for the rule of cool? holy freeze, holy shock and sanctuary all together.

it would be fine in hell. unfortunately 2ias short of max frames which would lose you a facet but it would work. ultra safe in say chaos with the holy freeze slow and sanctuary blasting out.

It's a bad idea? I also dont like pvm with weapons that aren't indestructible, but caduceus has pretty god durability (70), they are also prety fast weapons.

holy shock level 30, fanaticism level 9 and the aura da paladin choose as his main aura level 30, this without the merc.

I see, a last wish phase blade would be bad? to little physical dmg and a little slow (I always think its crazy that a weapon expansive as last wish dont have ias) ?

I'm trying to think about a good aura weapon so the char has 3 auras lol, but everything fells so weak when we compare with the almight Grief

(I'm talking about the holy freeze dreamer version, not the pure cold)

azurewrath is probably one of the better options if you just want the weapon aura

you are fighting to get good speed without fanat so your options are very limited, ideally need something in a phase base that can also have ias.
